More November and December 2016

20 Nov 2016
This week Sandy was gone all week to Andrea and Mike to help Andrea.  I helped Kaelynn.  I enjoyed being with Kaelynn and the twins.  They are learning and growing.  They smile and laugh and are just about ready to crawl.  Sandy felt that she was able to help Andrea a lot with tending and playing with children as well as housework.

Thanksgiving was much quieter than usual.  Kaelynn and Matt and the twins were the only ones who came to the house.  We enjoyed having them over.  The twins ate carrots while we ate Turkey, cranberries, etc.  Matt and I played Dominion and we watched a magic show called Carbonara which was pretty amazing.  No sporting events, though, which was a bit disappointing.

I went to Cedar City to see Emma’s school play.  I really enjoyed being with her—she is a sweet and kind young lady.  I also got to eat school lunch with her and Connor.

Before going to the school to see the play, I went to Chris’s office and as he showed me stuff, he talked with students who came in to the office.  I was very impressed with how much he wanted to help the students.  He helped a student write her CV and went over a letter of recommendation to ensure she would put her best foot forward.

We went to Cedar City to see Allysa, Emma and Connor perform Jungle Book in the Children’s Theatre.  It was great to see the kids perform.  I’m impressed with how well the kids are doing.  They are actively involved in orchestra, gymnastics, science club, scouts, gymnastics.  They have confidence and energy to achieve their goals.

Jaimee, Preston, Brandon, Lauryn, Camden, Sarah and Wil all came over for dinner and art/craft day.   Everyone had a wonderful time.

Christmas Day was a grand occasion.  All family members were at the house for dinner except Andrea, Mike and the girls.  They had to stay in Twin Falls because of the snow.  Also, my parents came over.  We had a wonderful roast beef dinner and afterwards people talked and enjoyed themselves.  We had a hilarious time with Sarah especially.  People used her Kerioke machine to sing.

Nov Dec 2016

6 Nov 2016

We watched Spencer, Preston, Lauryn and Camden from Thursday to Sunday.  We had a great time.  We played at the park, we played tennis, I was able to see Preston and Lauryn’s swim lessons and we had a good time watching movies at night.

Camden is obsessed with Buzz Light Year.  We couldn’t get his Buzz Light Year shirt off—we were finally able to wash it while he was taking a nap.

Lauryn came up with some beauties:

She and Spencer/Preston were fighting and Lauryn said, “I’m going to tell Grandma and you will be in big trouble!”
She and I went to the park and found some a small plastic container with some pennies.  Lauryn said, “A six year old finds treasure.  That is the most amazing thing!  Let’s ask Grandma what it is—she knows lots of things”.

I went up to help Andrea on Nov 8.  Nicole and Tara were so fun to be with.  We went to the park, played in the backyard and watched the election results that night.  While we were playing in the park, we decided to make houses for bugs.  Nicole said,

“Let’s make tract houses for the bugs”

We had the family reunion in St George this past week.  Everyone had a great time.  We swam, played games, ate great food, had the annual talent show and a nightly devotional.

OCTOBER AND HALLOWEEN PARTY 2016

Hi ALL,

Some October 2016 news:
I took Sarah to her soccer game this week.  As we were walking to the soccer field, Sarah told me some hilarious things:

“I should have two Dads and two Moms” (Brian was in Japan and she was missing him).  Another Dad would solve the problem if one Dad is out of town—you can just go to the other one.  Sarah told me she wanted to walk to Japan but she would have to “take a lot of snacks because Japan is on the other end of the world”.

We had the semi-annual, pre-Priesthood meeting at Marias by Nate’s house.  It was pariticularly enjoyable to have Spencer there because he was recently ordained a Deacon.

I went to Preston’s soccer game this week.  It was fun to see Preston.  He has a lot of speed.  With a little more ball control, he could be great.

16 October 2016
Amazing news---Andrea is pregnant!  This is a miracle.  Everybody is very happy at this great news.

Hyrum’s baby blessing was this week.  After the blessing we went to Brian and Mindi’s house for food.  It was great.

I took Brandon to play tennis this past week.  He told me that “his taste buds have evolved to where he doesn’t like bread anymore”.  Brandon also told me that sometimes he does multiplication tables to “show off because he wants to make other people laugh.  If they are happy they will learn better”.

Sarah told me, “My Mom is the boss, my Dad is not allowed to be the boss but he doesn’t do what my Mom says”.

I took Camden to the zoo this week.  As we were driving to the zoo he asked me if, “I got Grandma’s permission to go to the zoo with me”.

We had the annual family Halloween Party this week.  Everybody appeared to enjoy themselves a lot.  We had a potato bar and games.  The games were a fish pond, straw blowing, knocking down cans, story and popping balloons.

Sandy and I went to Yellowstone from Thursday through Saturday this past week.  The hikes were wonderful and we even saw a grizzly bear!  We stayed in West Yellowstone.

Dallin and Lacey Blessing June 2016

26 June 2016

Dallin and Lacey were blessed on Sunday, June 26.  All the family were there and participated.  It was a wonderful event!
