Family Dinner 12 Jan 2013

Hi All,

Most of the Family came over for dinner on Sunday and there were funny stories of Grandchildren.

*Brandon does not like Kindergarten because he was “embarrassed” because he was “almost left by his class” when the class went somewhere.
*Preston was hammering something and Spencer told him to “hit it harder like you’re going to beat the crap out of it, not like you’re going to hit you’re sister”.

*Lauryn told me that “we could have a sleepover and sleep in the downstairs.  In the morning, Grandma could wake us up and give us breakfast”.

We also took a movie of Camden which you will enjoy:

Christmas 2013

Hi All,

We had a lovely Christmas.  All children and grandchildren plus grandparents Dick and Joy; Burt and Betty were at the house on Christmas Day.  We had a lovely roast beef dinner and other treats.  The grandchildren all had fun playing with each other and the adults talked and joked.  We also played a fun game with everyone in the living room called Werewolf.

Chris and Lisa and family stayed with us until the Tuesday Dec 31; Mike and Andrea and family stayed with us until Sunday Dec 29.
The day after Christmas we had a birthday party for Dick.  We had a soup night of clam chowder, minestromi and split pea and ham soups.  The soups were delicious.
Other activities:  The adult children all went out to see, “The Secret Life of Walter MItty” while we babysat.  We had an oriental dinner to celebrate Lisa’s birthday.  We went to the Hogle zoo  and had fun seeing the animals.  We went sleigh riding at Woodland Park.  We played racquetball and played numerous board games of Settlers of Kataan and a new one called Pandemic.
It was sad to see everyone go.

Jaimee Joy Baptism November 2013

Jaimee Joy was baptized this week!  It was wonderful to see how radiant and happy she was.  Her Grandmother Allen and Aunt gave talks and she was baptized and confirmed by Brian.  Afterwards we went to Brian and Mindi’s house for lunch.

Hi All,

I realize this is kind of weird, I am not posting pictures of grandchildren or vacations, but I took these pictures as I was riding my bike in Farmington and I thought you might like the Fall colors....

Family Reunion, Sept 2013

The reunion was great.  Everybody, except Mike, was there.  The grandkids had a great time playing with their cousins.  We strengthened relationships with all our children and spouses as well as obviously grandkids.  We had a wonderful talent show.  We had lots of soccer games, swimming in the pool, playing on trampoline and sandbox, and adult games of Axis and Allies, etc.  At the end awards were given.

Below are the pictures I've got so far from people.  Please send anymore that might add to the show...

Andrea Visit Sep 2013

Hi All,

We had a wonderful visit with Andrea.  It was fun to see the baby and talk with her and Matt/Kaelynn.  On Sunday we had a family dinner with everyone and Grpa Dick and Grma Joy over.  It was hilarious to watch everyone dance using the Wi.  Andrea and Mindi are the adult dance stars and all the kids are great.
The first part of the week Andrea visited with family  and we also went to Riverton Wyoming.  Mike has a potential job situation in Riverton where he would get to do both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.  It was a long drive and we saw some beautiful sites.

The rest of the week was the FAMILY REUNION which I will put in a later blog (Would you all send me your pictures so I can choose the best ones to put on the blog?)  Thanks

Minnesota to see "the child" Aug 2013

We had a wonderful visit with Andrea, Mike and Nicole.  We went to Minnesota with Bob and Lonnie McEntire who were great traveling companions.  We had the traditional burgers and milkshakes at Culvers, attended the blessing of Nicole, played golf, went to a state park for a barbeque, rented a paddleboat and kayak, ate a breakfast at “Cheap Charlies” and visited the Mayo clinic.  Of course we also played games and watched a video—“42”.  The highlight of the trip was playing with “the child”.  She is cute and fun and receives loving attention 23 out of 24 hours per day.
