Christmas Vacation was lovely.
Mike and Andrea arrived on Friday. We had a nice dinner followed by a trip to Temple Square. We then drank hot chocolate and played games at the house.
Christmas Eve we played games at the church. We had a dinner with Bert and Betty, Dick and Joy, Mike and Andrea, Kaelynn and a young couple from Albania who are at BYU—Besmir and Ema Dischnica. We then went to the movie, Mission Impossible. It was non-stop action. Christmas Day everyone was over to the house and we were able to take a family picture. Christmas dinner was excellent and it was fun seeing everyone open presents.

Spencer, Preston and Lauryn, December 2011
We watched Spencer, Preston and Lauryn while Nate and Beth went to Phoenix. It was a lot of fun though I have pneumonia and so was only there for part of the time. Spencer made it clear to us that when his mom and dad are gone, he is in charge. They were delightful, easy-to-tend children. Here’s some pictures of them:

Thanksgiving 2011
Hi All,
We had a fun Thanksgiving. Chris and Lisa and kids came over on Tuesday night. We took them to the Zoo on Wednesday, I played the usual Castle Risk and we made Thanksgiving decorations. We had twenty people for Thanksgiving dinner—Chris and Lisa and kids, Nate and Beth and kids, Brian and Mindi and kids, Burt and Betty, Kaelynn and us. We had lots of food including chocolate pie, blueberry pie and the traditional pumpkin pie. We played with the kids outside as well as an UNO game inside. Here are some pictures:

Early Anniversary dinner at the roof, November 2011

After looking through our schedule, we decided to celebrate our anniversary early, so we went to the roof to eat dinner. It was lovely and elegant as you can see from these pictures.
