Zoo Trip, Yet Again, July 2012

We took Jaimee and Brandon to see the new exhibit at Hogle  Zoo called Rocky Shores.  This new exhibit has a polar bear and grizzly bears.  It was neat.  But it was nothing compared to the hilarious things Jaimee and Brandon said. 

Jaimee said, “Grandpa don’t microwave your ice cream.  Old people like me, who are serious, will think you are crazy”. 

She also said, “Here’s a little advice Grandma.  When people see you eat they might say they don’t want food but they really do”. 

Brandon said, “I watch Johnny Miller every day—that’s what gives me all these good ideas”. 

Brandon wanted us to buy him a toy at the zoo.  We told him that we thought he had a lot of toys.  He said, “One more toy will be enough”.  

Camping and Lauryn's birthday, July 2012

Chris and Lisa and children stayed with us for a few days and then went camping at Bear Lake and then went to Yellowstone.  I camped with them in Bear Lake.  The kids are all very good campers and had a lot of fun.  Conner asked me where fire comes from.  Now that’s a toughie… Here are some pictures of the camping trip: 

We also went to a delightful birthday party for Lauryn.  She, of course, was the star of the show and got a lot of cute toys.  Here are some pictures.
