Preston's Birthday March 2009

We went to Preston’s birthday party. It was a riot. Spencer and Preston couldn’t stop running around telling everybody that it was Preston’s birthday. Spencer and Preston kept showing everyone what Preston got for presents. We also got a chance to talk to Karl and Evelyn (Beth’s parents) about their mission. They had a great experience. In fact, they are going back to Canada to see a family go through the Temple.

March 23 2009 Family Night

We had our first extended family night. It was a lot of fun. We started with hamburgers and hotdogs followed by singing and a guessing game lesson.

Denver Trip March 2009

We drove to Denver this week with Grandpa and Grandma Monson to see Conrad and Debbie. We had a great time. We got there Friday night and Saturday morning Grandpa and I played tennis. We then went to a state park near Conrad and Debbie’s home which was quite interesting. Conrad and I walked to the bottom of this canyon and had quite a nice hike. Saturday evening Jordan and Tim and their two little ones—Bronwin and Julian, came over.

Sunday we had good church meetings and John and Patti (Debbie’s sister), as well as Jordan and Tim came over for dinner and a game of progressive rummy. It was a lot of fun.

On Monday we went to the Zoo. However, before we went to the Zoo, Kaelynn called us from the airport! She left for Connecticut on Monday morning. It was wonderful to hear her excited voice and feel her enthusiasm for getting out there.

Monday evening we had family night. Jordan and the little people were there and a surprise visitor--Ryan! He had a conference with his work in Denver on Tuesday so he came over for dinner with us.

Tuesday we went home. We were slowed down by a blizzard but we made it home safely.
